Terms of use

Postfach is licensed, not sold. The agreement between you and esense GmbH is Apple's standard licence agreement for apps from the App Store (Licensed Application End User License Agreement). The points below say how we apply it; they explain that agreement and do not replace it.

Trial	Every feature is available for 60 days from the day the app was first obtained with your Apple Account. After that, checking for and sending mail requires the Postfach Pro purchase; reading and searching what is on the device continue without it.
Purchase	Postfach Pro is a one-time in-app purchase through the App Store, tied to your Apple Account, covering the macOS and iOS apps. Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms.
Versions	Updates to the version you bought are included. A major new version may be offered as a separate purchase; the version you bought keeps working.
Your mail	You are responsible for the mail accounts you add and for keeping to your mail provider's terms. Postfach acts on your mailbox only as you direct it: a deletion in the app is a deletion on the server, as in any mail client.
Warranty and liability	The app is provided as it is. The copy on your device is a working copy of what is on your mail server, kept so that reading and searching work offline; it is not a backup and does not replace one. To the extent the law allows, esense GmbH is not liable for lost or delayed mail, for data on a mail server, or for indirect damage. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Swiss law.
Data protection	You are the controller of the mail in your accounts. Postfach keeps it on your device and on your mail server only: esense GmbH receives none of it, stores none of it, and acts as no one's processor. What your mail provider keeps is governed by their terms. Our privacy policy says what little we do hold, which concerns this website and support requests, never your mail.
Law	Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is the seat of esense GmbH, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection where you live.

Postfach is made and published by esense GmbH. Apple, Mac, iPhone, iPad, iCloud, App Store, and TestFlight are trademarks of Apple Inc. Microsoft, Outlook, and Hotmail are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. Zimbra and Gmail are trademarks of their owners. Postfach is not affiliated with any of them.
